So I think it’s no surprise that time in the marvel universe works differently from our time. Certain events are more recent or long past and characters tend to age differently depending on the needs of the writer at a particular time. Still its fun speculating with ages and dates and today we have a doozy. How old is Spiderman in the marvel universe?
In the MCU its safe to say he is about 17. Peter was 15 during the events of Civil War and since then he has only grown, by infinity war he was 16 and that was despite the five year time gap. All that said he should be either 17 or turning 17 by now.
In the comics it is a bit more complicated and a lot has happened since Peter first became spiderman. He has died and come back and being a billionaire and lost it all, it has been a ride that’s for sure. He is substantially older in the comics and has progressed far more than his MCU counterpart, even having been married and sacrificing that marriage for the sake of the universe.
It’s safe to say he was around 15 when he was first bitten by the radioactive spider that gave him his powers and since then years have past with him having numerous adventures. In the amazing spiderman (1963) #900 it’s Peter’s birthday. Though his age is not specifically stated in the book the general concensus is that he is somewhere in his late twenties, around 29 possibly getting to 30.
So it has been close to 15 years since he first became spiderman. 15 years of triumph and tragedy and heroics and foiling villainy. New york is lucky to have Marvel’s greatest superhero in it’s corner. We look forward to many more years of spidey heroics.
