We all know and love Kushina as the mother of Naruto. Naruto’s parents as we all know died tragically protecting the village from Obito and the nine tails. Her husband Minato the fourth Hokage was a legendary shinobi with a flee on sight directive, that we all know, but what few know is that she was a formidable shinobi in her own right.

SHE IS ONE OF NARUTO’S PARENTS
Kushina alongside her husband Minato are Naruto’s parents. They gave birth to Naruto not too long before the nine tails beast was used to attack the village.
During the attack Naruto’s parents among many others lost their lives, so Kushina’s death was during the night Naruto got sealed with the nine tails.
KUSHINA UZUMAKI’S NAME IS ROOTED IN MYTH
Kushina’s name is rooted in myth. In japanese mythology she is the wife of the god of the sea and storms Susanoo. In legend when she’s threatened by the serpent Yamata no Orochi she is saved by the god Susanoo who turns her into a comb before placing her in his hair. They later get married in a palace he builds for her.
KUSHINA’S EYE COLOUR
Kushina as a queer eye color. If you didn’t pay attention you would imagine it was dark or black but upon closer inspection it’s more of a gradient of purple and blue. Next time you see her take a closer look, it’s one of Kushina’s finer features in addition to her crimson red hair signature of the Uzumaki clan.
KUSHINA UZUMAKI IS MORE POPULAR THAN YOU THINK
Kushina is probably more popular than you imagine. In character polls typically held in japan Kushina ranked pretty decently considering she is not that major a character, but in all fairness considering she is Naruto’s mother and the fact that she is Minato’s wife it comes as no surprise she ranks pretty favorably managing to come in at the 21st position in character polls Minato’s wife Kushina is pretty popular wouldn’t you agree.
KUSHINA AND NARUTO SHARE A HOBBY
Although Naruto did not get Kushina’s red hair, Kushina and her son share something else in common. Kushina and Naruto share a hobby and its a very fun one. Apparently Naruto’s mischeif didn’t come from Minato but his mother Kushina Uzumaki instead. Kushina enjoys pranking people much like her son when he was younger. It comes as no surprise.
KUSHINA IS A GREAT COOK
Kushina’s husband may cook on the battlefield but in the kitchen Minato knows when he’s beat. He enjoys Kushina’s cooking proving that apparently she is quite a great cook. I guess she has more than one use for that frying pan.
KUSHINA AND NARUTO SHARE A FAVORITE FOOD
We all know Naruto’s favorite food is Ramen but what most of you didn’t know is that Naruto’s mum Kushina also enjoys Ramen,although she likes it salted. It’s nice to see Kushina and Naruto share a a lot in common.
KUSHINA INHERITED POWER FROM THE NINE TAILS
Kushina’s hair’s wave like reaction into nine strands is actually inherited from the nine tails. It is a trait she carries with her because she had the nine tails sealed in her. Anytime she gets angry her hair flares up like that as I’m sure you are familiar with by now.
KUSHINA UZUMAKI IS NICKNAMED AFTER A RED PEPPER
As a child Kushina was nicknamed by her classmates after a red pepper. Her nickname was the Red Hot Habanero. Her classmates gave her this nickname after they attempted bullying her and she fired back, she is still kind and sweet despite the nickname.
SHE LOVES NARUTO DEARLY
As expected of any mother she loves her son dearly as one would have clearly seen when Naruto met her battling the nine tails. She gladly gave her life for his and made a willing sacrifice for the village.
